Some of the games get boring after a while but the repetition helps you to learn the material quickly. I highly recommend this along with [.]. We planned a trip to France and neither my husband nor I knew a word of French besides "Cafe Latte." We both grew up in Texas and took Spanish. We weren't going to be in Paris, so we actually needed some French to be able to get around in the smaller towns. The French REALLY appreciate it when you try and speak the language and make an effort. This game was a great way to learn the basics so that we could order food, figure out money (numbers), days of the week, months, etc. I love that it speaks to you, allows you to practice speaking and shows you the words in print.
It also contains a vocabulary list with associated sounds and verb conjugations.On the downside, I would like to see more than just eight games. The games are fast-paced and the associated metrics help track one's progress/level. Also, the "sentence builder" game is not diverse enough, often repeating sentences; it also contains a couple of bugs that pop up once in a while. I am an advanced French student and I recommend this product. I use it to reinforce my vocabulary and pronunciation.
you will get bored but if u make it fun and love knowledge youll b ok i like it. it teaches by memory and repetitive.
Not so much for speaking unless you choose to repeat everything while you're playing, which you could do but there isn't a specific game to cater to that. You get a lot of repetition which is great for memorizing. Overall and excellent game and a good investment for anyone looking to get into French. This is a really great tool for learning vocabulary and a little bit of grammar. It's very easy to get into and most of the games aren't too tedious.
Speaking of which, unlike the other Language Coach games that I have played thus far, the speaker in this game is much clearer. True it is vocabulary words as opposed to conversation but by playing the game you get an opportunity to hear someone speak it and you can properly match your pronunciation to theirs. Easily understood.Highly recommend this game. I have always been in love with the French language so I have nothing but good things to say about this game. Besides enjoying the games, I just love learning the language.
